How to Count Number of Records between Two Dates

If the financial data of the company is being maintained in Excel spreadsheet, there may be circumstances where the accountant wants to summarize the data in such a way that he or she could come to know how many times that particular data appeared in the spreadsheet between two set of dates. In Excel, this can be done via COUNTIFS function. The usage is very easy as we will explain you how you can do this via practical example.

Formula

=COUNTIFS(B5:B15,">="&C20,B5:B15,"<="&C21)

Example

ABC is involved in manufacturing special purpose chairs for abnormal persons. Following is the data for its invoices generated during its financial year from 1st Jan to 31st December, 2016:
